According to the data released by China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), major steel mills' steel product output in China totaled around 22.29 million tons in late August 2022, and the average daily output posted around 2.03 million tons during this period, up by 4.31% from that in mid-August.
In late August, major steel mills held around 15.94 million tons of steel products in stock, down by about 1.39 million tons or 8.00% from those in mid-August.
