Shougang's electrical steel production to break through 2Mt by 2025

Recently, Shougang revealed that by 2025 its electrical steel production is expected to be over 2 million tons and proportion of high-end products to be over 70% in its total production.
In the first half of 2022, Shougang's electrical steel production was around 720,000t, of which non-grain oriented electrical steel accounted for nearly 50%, up by over 40% from that in the same period of last year. In the latter half of 2022, as the company puts into operation its production line exclusively for NEV-purpose electrical steel, the proportion of its high-end products in total production will increase further.
