Fujian Great Dong Hai Industrial Group to replace 1.43Mtpy steel-making capacity

The capacity replacement scheme proposed by Fujian Great Dong Hai Industrial Group Co., Ltd. was recently made public by Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
The company plans to build a new 130-ton furnace with annual capacity of 1.43Mtpy to replace capaicty to be shut down, including 1Mtpy from Shanxi Xiangtian Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., 93,000tpy from Fujian Great Dong Hai Industrial Group, and 550,000tpy from Liaoyang United Steel Co., Ltd., amounting to 1.43Mtpy (at the replacement ratios of 1:1.1 and 1:1.25).
Construction of the new furnace is expected to commence this year.
