NBS: China's rebar output down by 19.8% YOY in Jul 2022

Data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicated that China produced 17.122 million tons of rebar, 11.572 million tons of steel wire rod and 80.227 million tons of iron ore (raw ore) in July 2022, down by 19.8%, 14.7% and 3.5% YOY respectively; the output of medium-thick steel strip reached 15.229 million tons, rising by 4.6% YOY.
In the first seven months of 2022, the output of steel rebar, steel wire rod and iron ore (raw ore) dropped by 14.7%, 13.7% and 3.3% to 136.322 million tons, 83.32 million tons and 572.318 million tons respectively, while that of medium-thick steel strip rose by 1.8% YOY to 111.231 million tons.
