Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black to build 80,000tpy carbon based materials integration project

Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black Co., Ltd. announced on July 28 that the company plans to invest 500 million yuan (74.1 million US dollars) to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary called Black Cat Carbon Material in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia. The company will take Black Cat Carbon Material as the main project, and invest in a carbon based material integration project with an annual production capacity of 80,000t. The project, with a total planned investment of 1.28 billion yuan (190 million US dollars), will be constructed in two phases, of which the first phase will build an annual production capacity of 40,000t of coal tar needle coke, 3,200t of refined anthracene and 1,300t of carbazole, and the second phase will build an annual production capacity of 40,000t of coal tar needle coke.
