According to the announcement of Energy New Materials on June 20, the joint venture platform it built with CATL will set up a project company to invest in the construction of 16 production lines for Li-ion battery separator basilemma and coating slitting, which are mainly applied but not limited to NEV power battery system, energy storage battery system and other markets with a total investment of RMB5.2 billion (USD776.9 million). Covering a total planned area of about 65.9 acres, the project is estimated to be completed and partially put into production in 2023.
