On June 6, Shenzhen government of Guangdong issued the opinions on developing and expanding strategic emerging industry clusters and cultivating and developing future industries, which proposed to accelerate the improvement of industrial chains such as integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, carry out research on EDA tool software, semiconductor materials, high-end chips and special chip design technologies, promote the construction of 12-inch chip production lines, third-generation semiconductors and other key projects, and support the construction of cluster areas in Futian, Nanshan, Baoan, Longgang, Longhua and Pingshan, and build them into national integrated circuit industry gathering places, talent gathering places and innovation sources.
