Coal India's coal sales up by 11.07% YOY in May

Coal India Ltd announced that its coal production reached 54.70 million tons in May 2022, 2.3% higher from 53.47 million tons in April and up by 29.93% from 42.10 million tons in May 2021.
From April to May, the first two months of FY 2022-2023, the company produced 108.2 million tons of coal, an increase of 28.8% from 84 million tons in the same period of the prior fiscal year. The company's production guidance is 700 million tons of coal for this fiscal year.
Data also showed that the company's coal sales increased by 11.07% YOY and 6.43% MOM to 61.2 million tons in May, and totaled 119 million tons in the first two months of the fiscal year, representing a rise of 8.6% YOY.
