Trevali Mining's Q1 zinc production down 17% YOY

On May 16, Canada-based Trevali Mining reported production of 62.3 million pounds of zinc in first quarter of 2022, down by 17% compared to 74.8 million pounds in the same period of last year.
Payable zinc sales volumes decreased by 18% when compared with the previous quarter to 64.1 million pounds primarily due to the impact of no sales volumes from the Santander mine that was sold in Q4 2021 and lower sales volumes at the Caribou mine due to lower production. Payable zinc sales declined compared to the corresponding quarter in the prior year due to no sales from Santander mine in Q1 2022 as it was sold on December 3, 2021 .
