    1 Market Highlights
    1.1 Prebaked anode


    In April, Chinese prebaked anode producers in north China restarted normal operation and the purchase demand from southwest China improved. Prices both at home and abroad increased in April.


    1.2 Pet coke


    Pet coke prices in April jumped again, as many producers were out of production for equipment maintenance this month and the demand kept firm.



    1.3 Graphite electrode


    Prices of graphite electrode in China went up in April despite sluggish demand in China, as pet coke and needle coke prices moved up.



    1.4 CPC


    CPC prices in China climbed supported by the increased pet coke prices and improved demand.



    1.5 Coal tar pitch


    Coal tar pitch prices in April climbed, as the supply remained limited, while the demand increased.
