National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced the steel industry operation in January-February 2022
According to General Administration of Customs of China, China exported 8.23 million tons of steel products in January-February 2022, down by 18 . 8% YoY, and imported 2 . 21 million tons of steel products and 181 . 08 million tons of iron ore, down by 7 . 9% YoY and unchanged YoY respectively.

During the period, China's crude steel output was 157 . 96 million tons, down by 10% YoY; steel product output was 196 . 71 million tons, down by 6% YoY; coke production was 74 . 36 million tons, down by 7 . 6% YoY, and ferroalloy production was 5 . 49 million tons, down by 9 . 2% YoY . The production of above-mentioned materials in January-February 2021 all showed year-on-year increases compared with a year ago, with growth at 12 . 9%, 23 . 6%, 10 . 3% and 27 . 9% respectively.
