CosMX Battery to invest RMB4 billion in building new lithium battery project

CosMX Battery announced on March 27 that it plans to invest RMB4 billion (USD627 million) to build the new high-performance lithium battery project in Chongqing. The project company has received the business license issued by the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Wansheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Chongqing on March 25.
According to the announcement previously issued by the company, the project is planned to start construction in 2022 and put into operation in 2025. It will form a capacity scale of 15GWh new high-performance lithium battery per year, mainly for energy storage battery.
