Ningxia to eliminate semi-closed ferronickel, ferrochrome, ferromanganese electric furnaces and other backward capacity

Department of Ecology and Environment of Ningxia recently announced that according to the Guidance Directory on Industrial Structure Adjustment and Encouraged Industries Directory in Western Region, Ningxia will promote the complete withdrawal of backward capacity according to laws and regulations, and fully eliminate semi-closed ferronickel, ferrochrome, ferromanganese electric furnaces and the outdated capacity of sintered brick and tile industry. Enterprises and production lines which cause serious pollution and unable to meet stable emission standard will be shut down in accordance with the law.
