Kaijin New Energy commences construction of Li-battery anode material project in Yancheng

On February 28, Guangdong Kaijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. staged a groundbreaking ceremony for its Li-battery anode material project in Yancheng, Jiangsu.
With a total estimated investment of RMB6 billion (USD0.95 billion) to construct a 200,000tpy Li-battery anode material production base and research and test centers, the project will be built at two stages. Stage one with an investment of RMB3 billion (USD0.47 billion) will focus on grinding, surface engineering, low-temperature carbonization and storage facilities, and is expected to go into operation in June 2022. Stage two with an investment of RMB3 billion (USD0.47 billion) will focus on high-temperature carbonization and super-high-temperature graphitization processing, expected to start construction in June 2022 and go into operation in June 2023.
