Western Mining to acquire 27% stake in Lithium Co. for RMB3.34 billion

Western Mining announced on February 28 that it planned to acquire 27% shares of Qinghai Dongtai Ji'nai'er Lithium Co., held by Western Mining Group, its controlling shareholder. The company will positively engage in the development of lithium resources and new material industry for Li-ion battery. The deal priced RMB3.34 billion (USD0.53 billion).
Presently, Lithium Co. focuses on lithium resources' development in Dongtai Ji'nai'er's salt lake and process and production of lithium carbonate products. It had constructed by itself and operated a 10ktpy battery grade lithium carbonate production line, and its subsidiary Qinghai Lithium Co. also operates a 10ktpy lithium carbonate production line.
