Fengyuan Lithium Energy to build 200,000tpy lithium battery high-energy cathode material project

Fengyuan Chemical announced on February 25th that it agreed its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shandong Fengyuan Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd., to sign an investment agreement with the government of Hongta District, Yuxi City. According to the agreement, Fengyuan Lithium Energy will invest in building a 200,000tpy lithium battery high-energy cathode material project and its supporting project in Yuxi City in three phases.
In particular, the phase one project of 50,000tpy LFP cathode material and 1,000tpy pilot production line of extracting lithium from slay will have a total investment of around RMB1 billion (USD158.55 million). The follow-up projects will be actively boosted in accordance with the actual construction situation of the phase one project.
