Envision Technology Group's high-end power battery project settles in Shiyan

Envision Technology Group signed a strategic and cooperative framework agreement with Shiyan, Hubei on February 22. According to the agreement, the company plans to launch 5 projects in Shiyan with an investment of RMB48 billion (USD7.6 billion) in total, including the production of high-end power battery, the manufacture of commercial vehicles' intelligent charging network and equipment and the research for zero carbon automobile technology.
The high-end power battery production project, with a planned investment of RMB12 billion (USD1.9 billion), is expected to go into operation late this year and will achieve a smart battery production capacity of 40GWh.
