NDRC approves three coal projects with total capacity of 19Mtpa

On February 21, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China gave official approval for three coal projects with a combined production capacity of 19 million tons per annum (Mtpa) and total investment of RMB24.1 billion (USD3.8 billion).
The three projects include the 8Mtpa Inner Mongolia Nalin River District Taohutu Coal Mine Project with investment of RMB8.54 billion (USD1.35 billion), and two coal mines located in Yuheng Mine Area of Shaanxi, with capacity of 5Mtpa and 6Mtpa and investment of RMB8.12 billion (USD1.28 billion) and RMB7.46 billion (USD1.18 billion) respectively. The investment doesn't include mining rights fees.
