CAAM: China's automobile output up by 1.4% YoY in Jan

According to statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on February 18, domestic automobile output and sales reached 2.42 million and 2.53 million units respectively in January 2022, down by 16.7% and 9.2% MoM and up by 1.4% and 0.9% YoY.
Passenger vehicle output and sales achieved 2.08 million and 2.19 million units respectively in January, down by 17.8% and 9.7% MoM and up by 8.7% and 6.7% YoY; the output and sales of new energy vehicle reached 452,000 and 431,000 units in January, down by 12.6% and 18.6% MoM and increased by 1.3 times and 1.4 times YoY.
