Zhongke Electric announced on February 20 that the company, the company's holding subsidiary Zhongke Xingcheng Holdings, and Gui'an New Zone Zhongke Xingcheng signed a capital increase agreement with CATL. In particular, Zhongke Xingcheng Holdings will increase capital of RMB420 million (USD66.40 million) to Gui'an New Zone Zhongke Xingcheng, and CATL or its wholly-owned subsidiary will increase capital of RMB280 million (USD44.27 million) to Gui'an New Zone Zhongke Xingcheng. The registered capital of Gui'an New Zone Zhongke Xingcheng will rise from RMB100 million (USD15.81 million) to RMB800 million (USD126 million).
On the basis of this capital increase, Gui'an New Zone Zhongke Xingcheng will invest in the construction of "an integrated project of lithium battery anode materials with an annual output of 100,000t". The project is divided into two phases. It is planned to build a production capacity of 65,000t in the first phase and 35,000t in the second phase.
