    1 Market Highlights
    1.1 Prebaked anode

    Chinese prebaked anode prices went down on average in January as the average pet coke price slipped in the previous month. From late January, prebaked anode producers cut production in Shandong, supporting the price.

    1.2 Pet coke

    In the first half of January, the pet coke price increased for the strong demand. But the price dropped from the middle of January for the weakened demand and increased supply.

    1.3 Graphite electrode

    From the middle of January, graphite electrode prices in China rebounded, as many producers cut production or shut down in north China.

    1.4 CPC

    Supported by the reduced supply and increased pet coke price, CPC prices in China went up in January.

    1.5 Coal tar pitch

    In January, many coal tar pitch producers in Henan shut down for the COVID-19 lockdown, prices of coal tar pitch moved up.
