Shuangliang Eco-Energy to invest RMB6.2 billion in building Baotou 40GW monocrystalline silicon phase II project

Shuangliang Eco-Energy announced on January 28 that the company plans to invest in the construction of a 40GW monocrystalline silicon project in the Rare Earth High-tech Zone. The project will be implemented in two phases, and the first phase of the 20GW monocrystalline silicon project is nearly completed. Now the company plans to sign the "Cooperation Agreement on Baotou 40GW Monocrystalline Silicon Phase II Project (20GW) of Shuangliang Eco-Energy System Co., Ltd." with Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone, and will start the investment and construction plan for the second phase project (20GW) with a total investment of RMB6.2 billion (USD975 million). The construction period of the second phase project is two years, and the main body of investment and operation is still the local project company Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd.
