Crude stainless steel output in China up by 1.64% YoY in 2021

Special Steel Enterprises Association of China on January 25 released the output, import and export volume and apparent consumption data of stainless steel in China in 2021.
In 2021, China produced 30,632,000t of crude stainless steel, up by 493,000t or 1.64% YOY, of which the Cr-Ni steel (300 grade) output was 15,067,000t, up by 687,000t or 4 . 78% YOY; the Cr steel (400 grade) output was 6,267,000t, up by 342,000t or 5 . 78% YOY; the output of Cr-Mn steel (200 grade) was 9,058,000t, down by 586,000t or 6 . 07% YOY; and the output of duplex stainless steel was 240,567t, up by 49,135t or 25 . 67% YOY.
In 2021, the apparent consumption of stainless steel reached 26,101,000t, up by 493,000t or 1.92% YOY.
