SASAC: Central power generation enterprises' inventory of thermal coal reaches 95.69 million tons as of end of 2021

According to the information of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), the annual power generation volume of central power generation enterprises reached 4.95 trillion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%, accounting for 64.6% of the national power generation volume.
As of the end of last year, the thermal coal inventory of central power generation enterprises reached 95.69 million tons, up by 29.2% YOY, and the available days of thermal coal inventory recorded 20.1 days, an increase of 5.1 days year-on-year.
In terms of coal, by the end of 2021, 42 coal mines of central enterprises were included in the emergency supply guarantee list, and it is expected to increase their production capacity by 94.1 million tons per year. In the fourth quarter, the average daily coal production capacity was 2.95 million tons, up by more than 17% over the first three quarters. In 2021, the output of central coal enterprises exceeded 1 billion tons for the first time.
