China's coal resource reserves reach 162.288 billion tons

The statistics table on national mineral resource reserves in 2020 issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the People's Republic of China indicated that China's coal resource reserves reached 162.288 billion tons by the end of 2020.
In particular, the coal reserves in Shanxi were 50.725 billion tons, accounting for 31.26% of the national total and ranking first in China. Meanwhile, Shaanxi ranked second with the reserves of 29.39 billion tons and Inner Mongolia ranked third with the reserves of 19.447 billion tons.
Other provinces and regions with considerable coal reserves were Xinjiang, Guizhou, Anhui, Yunnan, Shandong, Ningxia, Henan, Sichuan and Hebei with the reserves of 19.014 billion tons, 9.135 billion tons, 5.827 billion tons, 4.454 billion tons, 4.132 billion tons, 3.501 billion tons, 3.365 billion tons, 2.666 billion tons and 2.605 billion tons respectively.
