Caofeidian to formulate high-quality steel base of 20,000,000tpy

Recently, the official website of the government of Caofeidian in Tangshan, Hebei, issued the local 14th Five-Year Plan for the National Economic and Social Development and the Outline of Long-Term Goals for 2035.
According to the document, Caofeidian will boost the deep-processing of steel industry, expand and extend the industrial chains, and accelerate the development of the manufacturing industry related to advanced steel material casting parts & forgings, high-quality welding materials, seamless steel pipes, high-performance metal sealing materials, high-quality stainless steel products, large-scale equipment components and other advanced steel materials. By 2025, the steel production capacity in Caofeidian will reach 20,000,000tpy, including over 70% of high-quality steel production capacity; the consumption rate in Tangshan will be more than 30% and the main business revenue will reach RMB90 billion (USD14.08 billion).
