GHTECH to join investment in waste lithium-ion battery recycling project

GHTECH (Guangdong Guanghua Sci-tech Co., Ltd.) announced that it entered into a cooperation framework agreement with Zhuhai Gree Financial Investment Management Co., Ltd. on November 11, 2021. GHTECH plans to build some of its newly-added new energy battery materials business at Gaolan Port Chemical Industrial Park in Zhuhai, with a planned investment of about 3 billion yuan (470 million US dollars), including about 1.5 billion yuan (235 million US dollars) for the phase one of the project. This project will build the production line for recycling waste lithium-ion battery to establish annual capacity of over 100,000t of lithium battery material.
