China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and National Energy Administration (NEA) issued a notification on upgrading coal-fired power generation units across the country, requiring local governments to reasonably determine the upgrading targets and implementation paths, study and formulate the upgrading plans and submit the plans to NDRC and NEA before the end of November. The operational plans will be formed by the end of the year after the third-party comprehensive evaluation organized by the NDRC and NEA.
