Latest data released by the Indian government indicated that India's power demand rose by 4.1% YOY in October 2021 but with the supply shortage of 1%.
According to the data, India's coal-fired power generation increased by 1.8% YOY in October 2021 and its solar power generation went up by 28.4% YOY.
CIL's data show that the company's coal supply to power industry reached 294 million tons from April to October 2021, increasing by 23.6% YOY.
Data released by POSOCO indicated that India witnessed a power supply shortage of 1.201 billion KWh in October 2021, a month of most serious power supply shortage since January 2017.
