National special inspection team supervises coal supply in Datong, Shanxi

On October 29th, the special inspection team on coal spot market prices composed of the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation arrived in Datong, Shanxi to supervise issues on coal supply, price stability, output increase and warm winter.
The team investigated Jinneng Holding Group's 10-million-ton-class leading mine, Tashan Mine, and Huangtupo Coal Terminal during the inspection.
There are 59 coal mines in Datong with a total production capacity of 134 million tons per year. Of the 59 coal mines, 44 mines are in production with a total production capacity of 103 million tons per year and 15 mines are still under construction with a designed production capacity of 30 . 80 million tons per year.
According to Xi Jie, the member of the Standing Committee of the Datong Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, Datong expects to add coal production capacity of 12.80 million tons per year, produce 135 million tons of raw coal in 2021 and strive to realize the annual raw coal output of 140 million tons during the year in order to ensure the supply of coal.
