CATL to supply 45GWh LFP batteries to Tesla in 2022

Tesla booked from the leading Chinese power battery producer CATL 45GWh LFP batteries which will be used mainly in its Model 3 and Model Y series for 2022.
The Model 3 and Model Y series to be installed with LFP batteries are autos with standard endurance capacity. In particular, the former has a battery capacity of 55kWh and the latter 60kWh. Based upon this, 45GWh are equivalent to nearly 800,000 vehicles which already excels Tesla's total global sales of 627,400 autos in the first three quarters this year.
