Mongolia's coal output down by 2.3% MOM in Q1-Q3

According to the latest statistics released by the National Statistical Office of Mongolia, Mongolia's coal output totaled 22.72 million tons, down by 0.54 million tons or 2.3% from the same period of last year. Among them, the output of hard coal was 16.51 million tons, down by 12.8% YoY; the output of brown coal was 4.97 million tons, up by 14.8% YoY.
Among them, Mongolia's coal output was 1.77 million tons in September, up by 0.51 million tons or 40.5% MoM, while down by 60.4% YoY, showing a sharp decline YoY for four consecutive months. Mongolia produced 0.74 million tons of hard coal in September, down by 81.3% YoY; the output of brown coal reached 0.53 million tons, up by 9.3% YoY.
