China iron ore production keeps rising in Sep

China produced 84.698 million tons of iron ore in September 2021, up by 783,000 tons or 0.9% from the previous month and rising by 9.6% year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The total iron ore output from January to September was 743.368 million tons, up by 13.4% year on year.
In September, the total iron ore output in Hebei, Liaoning, Sichuan, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Anhui and Xinjiang, the top seven major iron ore producing regions, reached 71.955 million tons, an increase of 347,300 tons or 0.5% over the previous month, and up by 12.119,500 tons or 20.3% compared with the same period of last year. Iron ore production in the seven regions accounted for 84.9% of China's total output, up by 3.5 percentage points from the same period of last year. From January to September, the cumulative iron ore output of the seven regions was 631.425 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.7%.
