Northern Rare Earth to invest in two rare earth projects

Northern Rare Earth announced that the company intends to invest RMB64,396,000 (USD10.072 million) to build the "Northern Rare Earth National Rare Earth New Material Innovation Pilot Base Project". This project is to build a comprehensive pilot base to provide a site for various rare earth new material pilot demonstration projects.
The company announced on the same day, in order to further reduce energy and material consumption, improve the company's green low-carbon clean production level, the company intends to invest RMB97.5806 million (USD15.263million) to build "Baiyun Ebo rare earth concentrate green smelting new process industrialization test project", with low temperature dynamic roasting new process instead of high temperature roasting process. An industrialization test production line of Baiyun Ebo rare earth concentrate smelting new process would be built for the project, the scale of which would reach 10,869 tons of mixed rare earth concentrate per year, and could produce 10,000 tons of rare earth chloride solution.
