Chinese crude steel output falls by 21.2% in Sep YoY

According to the data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China's daily crude steel output was 2.46mt in September 2021, down by 8.5% MoM, hitting another new low for daily output this year; pig iron output averaged 2.17mt per day, down by 5.8% MoM; daily steel output was 3.4mt, down by 3.2% MoM.
In September, China produced 73.75mt of crude steel, down by 21.2% YoY; pig iron output was 65.19mt, down by 16.1% YoY; steel output was 101.95mt, down by 14.8% YoY.
From January to September, China produced 805.89mt of crude steel, up by 2% YoY; pig iron output was 671.07mt, down by 1.3% YoY; steel output was 1.02 billion tons, up by 4.8% YoY.
