1. Market Highlights
Encouraged by tight supply, Chinese imported niobium concentrate prices increased further in September. As production cost rose, Chinese tantalum oxide, tantalum metal, niobium oxide and ferroniobium prices increased. Discouraged by lower international prices, Chinese imported tantalum concentrate prices decrease since mid-September.
As major consumers delayed purchasing, European tantalite market witnessed lower prices this month. Due to soft demand, European ferroniobium market prices decreased this month. As most consumers remained active in placing orders, American tantalum metal market prices increased in September.
