First BIPV project in Changshu's public transportation system starts construction

Recently, the building integrated photovoltaic power (BIPV) project located in the Changshu Northern Passenger Bus Terminal started construction. As a pilot project, it is the first photovoltaic power station to be built in Changshu's public transportation system.
With a planned investment of RMB1.27 million (USD0.20 million), the project is expected to be built and go into use in mid-November this year. When in operation, it is expected to generate 314,000KWH green electricity, save standard coal consump0tion by 1.23 million tons and cut carbon emission by 89.0t per year.
