India initiates first anti-subsidy sunset review investigation against hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel flat products from China

On October 8, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued a notice saying that in response to the application submitted by two Indian companies, it initiated the first anti-subsidy sunset review against Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Flat Products originating or imported from China. The stainless steel flat products involved all brands/series, whether hot rolled or cold rolled, whether plate, sheet, coil or of any shape, any width; the thickness of hot rolled coil is 1
. 2-10 . 5mm, that of hot rolled plate and sheet is 3-105mm, and that of cold rolled steel flat is 6 . 75mm at most; blade-grade steel is not included . The subsidy investigation period of this case is from April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 (15 months), and the damage investigation period is from April 2017 to March 2018, April 2018 to March 2019, April 2019 to March 2020, and April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 . The products involved are under Indian Customs codes 7219 and 7220.
