On September 29, 2021, Gansu Dongfang Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. started the construction of a recycling titanium dioxide deep processing project with an annual output of 300,000 tons. The total investment of the project is 978 million yuan (152 million US dollars). After the project is completed, Gansu Dongfang Titanium will become the world's largest titanium dioxide monomer factory.
