On December 15, 2015, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India initiated an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum foil originating or imported from China. On March 10, 2017, India made an affirmative final anti-dumping ruling on the case . On May 16, 2017, the Ministry of Finance of India issued Notification No. 23/2017-Customs (ADD), beginning to impose a five-year anti-dumping duty on Chinese products involved in the case.

Aluminum foil 5 . 5 microns to 80 microns, whether or not printed or backed with paper, cardboard, plastic or similar materials, was investigated . The dumping investigation period of this case is from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 (12 months), and the injury investigation period is from 2017 to 2018, 2018 to 2019, 2019 to 2020 and from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 . This case involves products under Indian customs codes 760711, 76071110, 76071190, 760719, 76071910, 76071991, 76071992, 76071993, 76071994, 76071995, 76071999, 760720 and 76072010.
