China's coal production up by 4.4% YOY in Jan-Aug

On September 15, the National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that in August, China produced 335.24 million tons of raw coal, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%, with an average daily output of 10.81 million tons. From January to August, the production of raw coal reached 2.60 billion tons, up by 4.4% over the corresponding period last year.
In August, the national coke output recorded 39.67 million tons, a decrease of 5.0% year-on-year. From January to August, the national coke output was 319.58 million tons, up by 2.5% on a year-on-year basis.
