Yongji announced that it plans to invest 107 million yuan (16.61 million US dollars) in Shanghai Aiyan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. through capital increase and share expansion. After the completion of this investment, the company holds 51% of the shares of Aiyan Semiconductor.
Shanghai Aiyan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. focuses on the production and manufacturing of large silicon wafers and substrate epitaxial equipment of the third generation semiconductor materials and the R&D of substrate materials. At present, it mainly develops and mass produces the production equipment required for epitaxial wafers. This investment is the layout made by Yongji around the semiconductor industry to explore the business development in the field of high-end chip equipment manufacturing.
