Chinese prebaked anode prices continued moving up in August, as pet coke prices climbed quickly and the aluminum market remained strong.

    1.2 Pet coke

In August, pet coke prices in China rose quickly after the supply reduced and producers cut production.

    1.3 Graphite electrode

HP and UHP graphite electrode prices in China went down in August, as the demand both at home and abroad became weak. Steel producers in China cut production for power restriction.

    1.4 CPC

Supported by the increased pet coke prices, CPC prices in China declined in August.

    1.5 Coal tar pitch

As coal tar pries went up again, coal tar pitch prices rebounded from the middle of August.
