Baosteel Metal's large traffic lightweight project (phase I) in smooth progress

The phase one of Baosteel Metal's large traffic lightweight project located at Xiage Park of Chaohu Economic and Development Zone in Anhui progresses smoothly now with the construction of automotive parts workshop and customized profile workshop already completed and the installation of production equipment underway currently. When in operation, the project is expected to produce about 118,000 units of auto assembly part and nearly 3.38 million meters of customized profiles annually.
The project was signed on April 28, 2019 in Chaohu city with the total investment estimated at RMB3 billion (USD462 million), covering an area of 1,000Mu (66.67 hectares). The project will produce automotive stamping parts, body parts and Mg-Al alloy die castings by different phases, with focus on developing businesses including lightweight auto parts, rolling precision profiles and Mg-Al alloy products.
