Unified management power plants in Hubei see coal consumption increase by 58.1% YoY in Jul

Data from Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission showed that in July, thermal coal supply to unified management power plants and consumption of unified management power plants in the province both increased significantly compared with the same period last year. The total thermal coal intake of unified management power plants in Hubei was 4,720,100 tons in July 2021, up by 1,861,000 tons or 65.1% from last July; and the thermal coal consumption was 4,568,000 million tons, up by 1,678,000 tons or 58.1% compared with the same period of last year.
By the end of July, thermal coal stocks were 4,535,000 tons, a decrease of 773,000 tons year-on-year. Based on the full load operation of all units, the average daily coal consumption is 285,000 tons, and the inventory by the end of July can meet 16-day consumption.
