China's raw coal output up by 4.9% YoY in Jan-Jul

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on August 16, China's raw coal output was 314.17 million tons in July 2021, down by 1.7% from June 2021, 3.3% from July 2020 and 6.9% from July 2019. China imported 30.18 million tons of coal in July, up by 15.6% YoY.
From January to July 2021, China produced 2,261.87 million tons of raw coal, up by 4.9% from the same period of last year and 4.8% from January to July of 2019. During the period, China imported 169.74 million tons of coal, down by 15.0% YoY.
In July, China produced 38.79 million tons of coke, a YoY decline of 2.9%. China's coke production posted 276.44 million tons in the first seven months of 2021, a YoY increase of 3.2%.
