Thailand's coal imports down by 0.1% YOY in H1 2021

Data released by Thailand Customs indicated that Thailand imported about 1.93 million tons of coal (including lignite) in June 2021, up by 152.5% YOY while down by 4.6% MOM.
Thailand's coal imports in January-June 2021 were about 12.04 million tons, down by 1.6% YOY and 0.1% MOM. The imports of bituminous coal and anthracite were around 11.91 million tons, dropping by 0.3% YOY; those of lignite reached 129,000t, representing an increase of 18.3% YOY.
