According to the data from Coal India, in the first three months of this fiscal year (April to June), Coal India supplied 127 million tons of coal to the power industry, an increase of 35.6% from 93.89 million tons in the same period last year.
In June this year, Coal India supplied 39.79 million tons of coal to the power industry, up by 27.74% from 31.15 million tons in the corresponding period last year.
The coal production of Coal India accounts for more than 80% of India's total domestic coal production. In the fiscal year 2023-24, the company's production target is 1 billion tons.
