Korea Trade Commission finally judges Chinese and Indonesian stainless steel flat rolled products as dumps

Korea Trade Commission under Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy made a final decision in the No.413 meeting held on 22 July and recommended anti-dumping taxes of 7.17-25.82% on stainless steel flat rolled products imported from Chinese Mainland, Indonesia and Chinese Taipei as these dumps damaged related industries of South Korea, with 23.69%, 25.82% and 24.83% for TISCO, Ansteel and other Chinese Mainland enterprises respectively, 25.82% for ITSS, and 9.47%, 7.17% and 9.07% for YUSCO, Walsin Lihwa and other Chinese Taipei enterprises respectively.
In order to ease the burden of enterprises and ensure steady supply of related products, the commission also decided to include hot-rolled 200 series, some of hot-rolled 316 and 316L as well as some 420 and 304L in the tax exemption list for stainless steel products and adopt the measure of price undertakings for TISCO, Ansteel, ITSS, YUSCO and Walsin Lihwa only.
The Minister of Strategy and Finance, Republic of Korea is required to make a decision within one year from the starting date of anti-dumping investigation (25 September, 2020) and finally decide whether to put this anti-dumping measure into force.
