In order to meet carbon emission peak and carbon neutral requirements, further reduce comprehensive energy consumption for producing one ton of steel, mitigate policy risks of coal reduction and control over production capacity and output and accelerate transition from old drivers to new ones, Shandong Iron and Steel Laiwu Company stopped operation of the No.1 blast furnace of 1,080m3 in its iron works.
The blast furnace produced around 19 million tons of iron after going into operation and hit record high in terms of many economic and technical indicators.
